Debbie Kay’s Anytime Sugar Cookies

Yield: about 3 dozen

Ingredients:

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted sweet cream butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 3/4 cup Premium Gold® Gluten Free Flour
1 tsp. vanilla (optional)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. fine sea salt
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350ºF.

In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, and vanilla with electric mixer until light and fluffy.

In medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; slowly add to butter mixture and blend well.

Drop sugar cookies: Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased or parchment paper lined baking sheets. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar.

Rolled out sugar cookies: Roll out dough on floured surface to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into shapes with any cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased or parchment paper lined cookie sheets.

Bake 8-11 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely on wire rack.

Enjoy as is, or top with frosting, sugar or sprinkles.
