German Apple Cake


3 cups chopped apples
1 cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 ½ cups canola oil
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
3 cups Premium Gold® Gluten Free Flour
2½ tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking soda
1 cup chopped nuts, optional

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.Place apples in lightly salted water.Combine oil, sugars and vanilla. Blend in one egg at a time.
Wisk together dry ingredients. Gradually add into egg mixture.

Drain apples and gently fold into mixture. Add nuts. Pour evenly into lightly greased and floured bundt pan.

Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in pan 20 minutes and turn onto wire rack and cool completely.

Glaze Recipe:
3 Tbsp. butter
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
3 Tbsp. sugar
½ tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. milk

Combine all ingredients in saucepan. Bring to boil and boil 1 minute. Cool slightly and add powdered sugar to thicken. Drizzle glaze over cake.
