From Prairie Roots To Global Vision

Premium Gold’s story begins in the prairies of North Dakota where the Miller family farm was founded in 1906. For decades, they perfected golden flax cultivation. In the 2001, the Miller family founded Premium Gold Flax Products & Processing.

Their innovative True Cold Milled® process and commitment to quality, nutritious food built a loyal following.

Continuing The Premium Gold Legacy

When the Miller family decided to transition Premium Gold to new owners to primarily focus on the Miller Farm and enjoying retirement, Mike Marshall – an entrepreneur with a passion for and proven track record in regenerative and gluten-free agriculture – stepped up to the plate.

“What inspired me was the opportunity to deliver an authentic story about stewardship, sustainability, and regenerative farming, and high-quality, nutritious products directly to the consumer,” Marshall explains.

“That matched the vision I’d built my career on.”

Today, under this new leadership, Premium Gold is building upon its roots. With farmer partners from North Dakota to West Africa, we’re working directly with growers who share our commitment to soil health and regenerative practices.

From golden flax to ancient grains like fonio, we're proving that quality nutrition can be both exceptional and accessible.

Justin Perrault leads operations at Premium Gold, working to maintain top quality from farm to package across retail and ingredient supply chains.
