Ingredients:
1& 2/3 cups Premium Gold® Gluten Free Flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
¼ cup shortening or soft butter
1 cup milk (a little more may be needed for right consistency)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
- Cut in shortening with pastry blender till it resembles coarse cornmeal.
- Make a well in the center of the flour mixture, add all of the milk at one time and stir with a fork until no flour shows and a soft dough form.
- Form biscuits with a biscuit ring or the top of a cup or scoop out biscuits dough that is looser with a TBL spoon or a large cookie scoop with lightly floured hand gently round on your lined or well-greased baking pan.
- Put the baking sheet on the center rack of the oven.
- Bake until the biscuits are golden brown.
*** Make sure your baking powder and soda is fresh, old ingredients will affect the bake and rise. (bad soda can add a nasty taste, it’s a cheaper ingredient and should be replaced every 6 months to maintain quality if the lid is open. Feel free to contact us with any further questions.
